“Khazaf” — the Persian word for raw clay — carries in it the weight of the earth and the touch of hands. That’s where our process begins.

Clay is where we begin

Sculptural ceramics born from instinct, contradiction, and touch.
At Khazaf Studio, we make sculptures and ceramics that don’t fit in neat boxes. The forms might feel strange, maybe even a little unsettling — and that’s exactly the point. We’re drawn to the in-between: not quite human, not quite creature, not quite plant. Everything is hand-built, slow, and full of the kind of imperfections that make things real.
This isn’t a place for perfect pots or polished lines. It’s a space for raw texture, emotional contradictions, and quiet intensity. If something from our world speaks to yours, you can take it home. Yes, our works are available for purchase — but more than that, they’re made to be lived with.

The
Throat of Memory

Artist: Mammad Panda

``The Throat of Memory`` is a sculptural hybrid where dozens of delicate hands form a haunting threshold. Situated between figuration and abstraction, the piece evokes a primal portal—part body, part myth. Moeini's work reflects on ritual, memory, and the blurred line between human, machine, and nature.

Innocence

Innocence

Artist: Mammad Panda

This small clay figure explores the dualities of innocence and mischief, the sacred and the profane. With its subtly smiling face, miniature horns, and a body that resists classical ideals, the creature embodies a playful yet unsettling presence. It invites the viewer to question the boundaries between the human, the mythological, and the grotesque. Made by hand and left partially raw, the texture and imperfections emphasize vulnerability, humor, and raw identity.

Their work transformed my space. It’s more than decor — it’s conversation, emotion, and story in one piece

Lina Torres Creative Director

I’ve collected ceramics for years, but nothing has the texture and emotion I found in these sculptures. Pure poetry in form
